There Is A Future

Guiding the hearts of the people we counsel into the way of Life is a central concern of Word Based Counseling. For the human heart is predisposed to be unfaithful and wayward. And many people have strayed into the broad path.

In the midst of life's pressures and difficulties, some have become discontent and envious of those who seem to be doing what they want and getting away with it. Many hearts have been drawn away by the world--the lust of the eyes and the flesh, and the boastful pride of life.

But the narrow way is the way with a future--both the promise of good things to come and an end to the suffering and distress of the present. And the way of Life is full of hope and expectation. It is the way of wisdom that begins in the fear of God, obeying His word when He tells us to listen, to be wise, to give Him our hearts, and to delight in His ways.

Do not let your heart envy sinners, but live in the fear of the Lord always. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. Listen, my son, and be wise, and direct your heart in the way (Proverbs 23:17-19 NASV).
